Terms & Conditions of Use and Sale

1. General

These Terms & Conditions govern the sale and use of all products supplied by CleanPV. By purchasing or using CleanPV products, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Operating Requirements – Water Flow

Minimum continuous water flow rates are required for safe and effective operation:

  • 3 L/min – Telescopic cleaning broom

  • 5 L/min – Single rotating brush

  • 7 L/min – Double rotating brush and horizontal rotating brush

  • 10 L/min – PV7 Robot (without sweeper)

  • 14 L/min – PV8 Robot (with double brush)

  • 10 L/min – 2.4 m Ground-Mount Solar Cleaning Machine

  • 18 L/min – 4.8 m Ground-Mount Solar Cleaning Machine

Operating equipment below the specified flow rates may result in tool or solar panel damage and void product warranty coverage. operat

3. Thermal Safety

  • Solar panels must not be cleaned with cold water when extremely hot

  • Cleaning should preferably be performed during cooler conditions

4. Powered Brush Safety

  • Powered brushes must never be operated without water already flowing

  • Brushes must not spin stationary in one position

  • No additional downward pressure may be applied beyond the product’s own weight

5. Correct Use Requirement

All products must be used strictly in accordance with CleanPV’s instructions.
Incorrect use constitutes misuse and voids warranty, refund, and liability claims.

6. Operator Responsibility

The purchaser, installer, or operator of any CleanPV product (“Operator”) is solely responsible for ensuring:

  • The product is used only for its intended purpose

  • All operating, safety, and water flow requirements are met at all times

  • The solar panels, mounting structures, and surrounding environment are suitable for cleaning

  • Cleaning is performed under appropriate environmental and temperature conditions

  • The product is operated by a competent person with adequate knowledge of the equipment

The Operator assumes full responsibility for:

  • Assessing the condition and temperature of the solar panels prior to cleaning

  • Verifying sufficient and continuous water supply before and during operation

  • Preventing misuse, excessive pressure, dry-running, or stationary operation of powered brushes

CleanPV shall not be responsible or liable for damage to solar panels, mounting systems, roofs, electrical components, or third-party property arising from:

  • Operator error

  • Incorrect or unsafe operation

  • Failure to follow CleanPV’s operating instructions

  • Environmental conditions beyond CleanPV’s control

This clause applies whether the Product is operated by the purchaser, an installer, a contractor, or any third party.

7. Limitation of Liability

CleanPV shall not be liable for damage to solar panels, mounting structures, or third-party property arising from incorrect use, insufficient water flow, thermal shock, or operator error.

8. Warranty & Returns

All warranties, refunds, and returns are governed by CleanPV’s Warranty Policy and Refund & Returns Policy, which form part of these Terms & Conditions.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
